Snow removal is the biggest job in winter.

Golf course snow removal work can be broadly divided into the entrance road, cart, green & tee, and fairway.
Since there is no need to worry about grass damage on the access road, snow can be quickly removed using a large tractor in the same way as snow removal on a regular road.

For heavy snowfalls of more than 20 cm, install a snow removal grader on the front of the tractor or use a snow removal blower to first push away the snow, and then use a snow removal broom (brush device) to clear away any remaining snow.

Unlike the wide access road of the cart, the width of the road is narrow, about 2m, and there are many curves in some sections, so it is recommended to use a snow removal equipment with a moderately narrow working width and excellent turning radius for snow removal work.
The best equipment for these conditions is a front rotary mower, which can be removed from the front and replaced with a snow blower or snow blower.

Green snow removal is often done by hand using a hoe to protect the grass, but this has the disadvantage of being too time-consuming, so recently, small green tractors have been equipped with snow blowers on the front to quickly complete the work.

Normally, snow blowers are developed to remove snow from roads, so the skid shoes at the bottom of the blower are made of metal. If the blower is placed on the green as is, the damage to the grass will be irreparable.
To compensate for this, plastic pipes can be cut in half and replaced with the blower's metal skid shoes, but installing urethane skid shoes is more effective in protecting the grass.

Also, depending on the course, it is used in conjunction with a snow blower. First, the snow on the green is pushed toward the green collar with a snow blower and piled up. Then, a small tractor equipped with a blower is brought in to blow the accumulated snow all at once to the slope or around the green.
Depending on the condition and level of snow, in some cases a blower may be used directly on the green to remove snow more quickly.

The fairway uses a snow blower attached to a cart-mounted front rotary mower to quickly remove snow from the fairway onto the slope.

The cold begins to grow stronger with strong winds. This is also the time when you need to be most careful about protecting your lawn. Watering should be done mainly in areas that are dry and only to areas that are not frozen. In areas where the sun does not reach, be sure to cover the green.
What appears at this time is 'snow mold'. Snow mold is a disease in which the stems or roots rot due to respiratory problems and light blockage when the grass is buried in snow for a long time. It is necessary to check for snow mold on grass regularly. Snow mold appears in the form of gray and pink mycelial mats. In particular, areas where the grass dries easily, such as bunker slopes, teeing grounds, fairway hills, and replanting areas, should be irrigated.

1. Partial irrigation mainly in dry areas
- Bunker slopes, teeing grounds, fairway hills, and irrigation areas must be irrigated.
2. Cover shaded areas to protect the grass from the cold.

3. Check the covered area regularly for grass rot.
- Gray mold: Forms grayish-white mycelial mats and yellowish-brown circular lesions measuring 5 cm to 1 m.
- Pink Snow Mold: Infected grass leaves turn pink and a pink mycelial mat forms around the lesions.
